Working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. Maintain equipment and facilities in a safe, clean and efficiently operational manner. Adhere to procedures and prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance and housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned.

-ASME Code Understanding (As it pertains to pressure vessels)

-Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.

-Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing tools/equipment.

-Place RFQ’s to contractors or suppliers and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.

-Evaluate and solve production issues.

-Generate or adapt equipment and technology to serve user needs.

-Determine root causes of failures using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, Brainstorming or other statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.

-Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.

-Provide written work instructions or operating details for equipment or manufacturing processes as needed.

-Strong understanding of machining processes for turning, milling, and drilling.

-Strong understanding of machining equipment and setup.

Work Environment

This job operates in a heavy manufacturing environment. Some of the work will be performed in a professional office environment. This role requires the use of various measuring tools for length, pressure, electrical signals etc.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum of Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent degree) with a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or a commensurate level of experience with a related field.
